The Roots Of The Game. |
New Independent Baseball League Turns Back The Clock |
2012 will see the beginning, of the past. The new Pastime Baseball League will take to the field in historic fashion. It has been said that baseball, commonly known as America's Pastime, has PASSED its prime. That the game has become to much of a business and has dealt with far to much controversy over the last decade. The PBL was started with the idea of bringing back the glory days of the game. When fans step into a PBL ballpark for the leagues inaugural season in 2012, they will be transported back in time. The players will be dressed in classic uniforms, reminisent to the 1940's and 50's. The sounds of the ballpark will be those of the vintage years, organs playing "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" and other fan favorites. Concessions will be cheap and vendors in candy striped shirts will bring them right to your seat. Swing bands will be playing in the concourse as you enter the stadium. Fathers will be able to show their sons exactly what it was like taking in a game, during their youth. "This is the perfect time for the PBL to start up", PBL President and Founder Chip Rossetti said. "People are talking about the recession and |
they are looking for inexpensive ways to be entertained. What better way to do that then to be transported back 50 or 60 years and experience the sights and sounds of the games past." The idea for the PBL came to Chip 5 years ago when he was writing a screenplay, based on historical facets of the game. "I thought to myself, 'Boy, I wish I could have seen the game in those days'. Now we can bring that to everyone." The PBL will begins its exhausted search for facilities and owners for the leagues clubs, with the hopes of hitting the field in 2012. |
